About us

The Pension Atlas, founded in 1983, is a family run Business

Your hosts are Kyrianna and Trudi Kavalaris, who are looking forward to make your stay as pleasant as possible. Both are highly knowledgeable about the island and its people. Trudi hails from Switzerland and is fluent in German, English and Greek. You'll arrive as a holidaymaker but, thanks to the hotel's cordial atmosphere, you'll be saying goodbye to friends come the day of your departure.
The Pension is located on the outskirts of Karterados in the centre of the island. On foot, it takes only five minutes to reach the village. There you'll find numerous shops, a well-stocked supermarket, a varied bakery, a hairdresser, cafés which later at night turn into bars and lots of taverns where you'll be treated to authentic Greek cuisine.
Fira, the island's lively capital, can be reach on foot, too, in just 15 minutes. Not only are there many shops and boutiques strewn across the quaint narrow ally ways, the town offers a great spectacular view of the caldera. In the evenings, Fira boasts a flourishing party scene with its many clubs and bars.
Atlas Pension is located only 3km from the airport, 8 km from the port and 1.2km from the capital Fira. Monolithos beach is 4km, Kamari 7km, Perissa 10km and the red beach 12km away from us. All easy reachable by bus.
